Friday, March 18, 2016

If you've ever wondered what dental options exist for changing the look of your teeth by closing gaps, repairing chips and damage, or making your teeth look longer, than this post is for you. Here are a few of the options available.
For teeth with minor damage, dental bonding uses a tooth-colored resin that is bonded directly to the surface of your teeth.
Veneersporcelain laminatesare a thin shell that is custom made to bond over the front surface of your teeth.
Dental crowns are tooth-shaped caps that can be placed over top of your tooth, covering it all the way down to the gum line.
Finally, reshaping or recontouring (also referred to as stripping, slenderizing, odontoplasty and enameloplasty) consists of removing small amours of tooth enamel in order to chance the shape of the tooth, its length or surface.
If any of these procedures interests you, or you would like to discuss your options, please our Delaware, OH office and Dr. Lechner will be happy to provide you advice on the best approach to your needs, as well as the details of each approach, including cost, durability and chair time required.
